Do I need a health permit to sell prepared foods? You do need health approval in order to sell prepared foods, both low-risk and high-risk. All the information you need can be found on the Interior Health Authority website and through the Guidelines for the Sale of Foods at Temporary Food Markets. Low risk items need to be noted as such on your application to the KRFMS. Items that could be either low or high risk need to have testing done to ensure they are low risk. Please provide us with a copy of the testing results showing your items are low risk. High risk items require IHA involvement to obtain a health permit.
-
For prepared food items, are there requirements for package labelling and displaying ingredients?"For labeling and packaging of food items it is best to check the Guidelines for the Sale of Foods at Temporary Food Markets.
