Student Bursary
One award of $1,000 will be presented to a student who has worked in or is planning to work in promoting local food security/food sovereignty. The award will be paid upon proof of enrolment at an accredited college or university.

Application criteria:

Students must submit an essay of 500-1,000 words on the importance of food sovereignty in achieving food security, and how their past experience or future plans will further this goal. Alternatively, students can arrange for an interview with the committee to present their research and knowledge on these issues.

Students must provide a copy of their most recent transcript.

Preference will be given to applicants living within the geographical area of the Kamloops Regional Farmers’ Market Society.

Application must be received by October 1st of the current year.
